X-ray Scanner, a World First

Since 2012, the sawmill has been equipped with a log yard complemented upstream by an X-ray scanner, highering the optimization of each log. The scanner can recognize hidden defects in Vosges’ wood, generally heterogeneous, in the most reliable and precise way, to rationalize and optimize the log even before sawing.

Zero Waste Valorisation

In addition to traditional production, the sawmill produces green electricity from biomass in a cogeneration plant that burns bark. The sawdust is transformed into pellets, a highly efficient energy.
